Effects of Token Economy Intervention on Hospitalized Patients With Schizophrenia

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect token economy intervention on clinical characteristics and global function patients with schizophrenia.Methods: From June 1, 2022 September 2022, conducted for hospitalized schizophrenia in a mental hospital. Assessments were before after intervention. Clinical Global Impression-Schizophrenia scale (CGI-SCH), Schizophrenia Quality Life Scale (SQLS), Insight Psychosis (ISP), Apathy Evaluation (AES) used evaluate characteristics. World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS) functional assessment.Results: A total 51 included study. Through intervention, depressive (p=0.001), cognitive symptom domain scores (p<0.001) CGI-SCH, SQLS score significantly decreased (p=0.044). In WHODAS evaluated by clinician, self-care (p=0.012), life activities (p=0.006), participation society (p=0.040) significantly.Conclusion: It confirmed that had positive symptoms, quality life, function, daily living social schizophrenia.
